KEARNY, NJ, February 15, 2019 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to honor Frederick R. Dunne, Jr. as a Top Lawyer. An accomplished listee, Mr. Dunne celebrates many years' experience in his professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes he has accrued in his field. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
With over 40 years of professional experience as an attorney, Frederick R. Dunne, Jr. has excelled as the managing member of Dunne, Dunne, & Cohen LLC (formerly Dunne and Associates, LLC) since 2016. He has been with the firm as a founding partner since its inception as Harrington & Dunne in 1973, and in addition has worked with several organizations throughout the course of his career, having found success at such companies as Kearny Federal Savings & Loan (Now Kearny Bank) and Arco Globus International. As the founding member of Dunne, Dunne, & Cohen, he focuses primarily on real estate law and has handled thousands of residential and commercial cases over the years.
Mr. Dunne pursued an undergraduate degree at Niagara University, which he earned in 1966. He spent the next few years teaching at St. Benedict's Preparatory School, Essex College of Business, and East Orange High School while attending Seton Hall University School of Law Evening Division, where he obtained a Juris Doctor in 1970. He was shortly thereafter admitted to practice law in the states of New Jersey and New York, and has also been admitted to practice by the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey, the United States District Court for the District of Colorado, the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, and the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York.
Upon exiting the teaching circles, Mr. Dunne worked as an attorney for the Office of the Public Defender in New Jersey, an experience that led him to establish the firm Harrington & Dunne, which — through several iterations — he has operated ever since. The firm is today known as Dunne, Dunne, & Cohen LLC, and he practices with his son, F.R. "Chip" Dunne, III at the firm — a feat he holds in high regard along with Leonard Cohen. Mr. Dunne's daughter Jaime Dunne Dorunda was also a member of his firm for a period of eight years until she retired from the practice of law and joined the medical profession.
He also provides his services as a consultant for the Riverside Title Agency, and has experience as a public defender in New Jersey and as an examining attorney for insurance companies such as Chicago Title Insurance Company and Chelsea Title and Guaranty Company.
Mr. Dunne has held a number of positions in community organizations as well. Earlier in his career, he served as vice president of the Immaculate Heart of Mary School Board, chairman of the St. Benedict's Alumni Fund, and on the board of trustees of the Pioneer Boys of America. He is a past president of the West Hudson Bar Association, and has served on several committees there as well. Moreover, Mr. Dunne was chairman of the St. Benedict's Preparatory School Reunion Committee.
For his service and accomplishments, Mr. Dunne has received a number of awards and honors. Among them are several Certificates of Appreciation from the Supreme Court of New Jersey, the Service and Citizenship Award from the Pioneer Boys of America, and an Outstanding Performance Resolution from the Kearny Board of Education. He was also named among the Top 100 Trial Attorneys in 2014, and was named an 'Outstanding Young Man of America' several years in a row. In addition, he has been included in numerous editions of Who's Who in American Law, Who's Who in America, and Who's Who in the World.
