He then interned at Medical Center Hospitals at the University of Pittsburgh and completed his residency at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary in New York City and served in the U.S. Marine Corps, U.S. Army and U.S. Air Force between 1943 and 1946. He since became a diplomate of the National Board of Medical Examiners and the American Board of Ophthalmology.
Married to his wife Barbara Eleanor Keebler since 1951, Dr. Linn has four children. He resides in Pittsburgh.
