With 30 years of professional experience, Dr. Rothberg most recently served as an educator at Cherry Creek High School from 1984 to 2003 and with the Cherry Creek School District from 1976 to 1984. Earlier in her career, she was a research consultant for an experimental Stanford project based at the Community College of Denver (1973-1974).
Dr. Rothberg began her career as a student at Monteith College (an Honors branch of Wayne State University), receiving a Bachelor of Philosophy degree in 1964. After obtaining valuable experience in the field, she returned to her studies with the University of Denver, completing a Master of Arts in 1979. She concluded her formal education with the university in 1987, earning a Doctor of Philosophy in Speech Communication.
A respected leader in the field, Dr. Rothberg has been affiliated with a number of professional organizations. She was a member of the American Academy in Rome where she studied during the summer of 1980. She served several years as the Colorado Junior Classic League state chair beginning in 1990. She was involved with the Vergilian Society, the Classical League, and the National Communication Association, among others.
Throughout her career, Dr. Rothberg has been recognized for her achievements. She has been featured in numerous honors publications, including the fourth edition of Who's Who in American Education and the 17th edition of Who's Who of American Women. However, she cites a highlight of her career as the moment when she was named Outstanding Colorado Foreign Language Teacher of the Year.
