Earlier in his career, Dr. Ahmad found success in a number of positions with Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey, including as clinical assistant professor from 1976 to 1981.
Dr. Ahmad initially pursued an education at Murray College, completing coursework prior to enrolling at King Edward Medical University, where he earned a Bachelor of Surgery, Bachelor of Medicine in 1967. He subsequently relocated to the United States, furthering his training with a residency at Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey from 1971 to 1973, and a cardiology fellowship from 1974 to 1976. Furthermore, Dr. Ahmad is a diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine in Cardiovascular Disease.
A leading voice in his industry, Dr. Ahmad has been affiliated with a number of professional organizations. The former president of Associated Cardiology Physicians, he is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and the American College of Physicians. He has contributed as a trustee of St. Clare's Riverside Medical Center. Throughout his career, Dr. Ahmad has been featured in numerous publications, including Who's Who in America, Who's Who in the East, and Who's Who in the World.
