After accruing 45 year of professional experience, Mr. Kellogg retired from his role as the director of activities and the director of the intern program at Saint Paul's School, where he also worked as a history teacher and the head of the history department. Mr. Kellogg began his career at the Valley School of Ligonier in Ligonier, Pennsylvania, He then served as a First Lieutenant in the United States Army Medical Corps in Korea before entering Harvard for a degree in education. While teaching at St. Paul's, Mr. Kellogg served terms as the president of the New Hampshire Chapter of Educators for Social Responsibility and New Hampshire History Day.
Outside of his work in education, Mr. Kellogg has been active in international affairs. Though his career was filled with many highlights, he believes that helping to develop a course that involved having a clergyman and a historian in the classroom at the same time ranks among his proudest moments. At the time of its inception and implementation, this course was the only one of its kind.
An expert in his field, Mr. Kellogg earned a Bachelor of Arts from Princeton University and a Master of Education from Harvard University. Subsequently, he pursued coursework at Stanford University and the University of Pennsylvania. In order to remain aware of changes in the field, Mr. Kellogg has been affiliated with the New England History Teachers Association, and served two terms as President.
With a plethora of expertise at his disposal, Mr. Kellogg authored "Out of the Past," "Greece and the Aegean," "American History, The Easy Way" and "How to Prepare for AP Exam in United States History." Recently, during his spare time, he has contributed to his community through membership on the Boulder Library Foundation and the UN Association of Boulder County. Previously, Mr. Kellogg maintained involvement with the New Hampshire History Society, the New Social Studies Association, the World Affairs Council of New Hampshire, and the New Hampshire Humanities Council.
For his outstanding achievements, Mr. Kellogg has been presented with the Governor's Recognition Award from the New Hampshire State Department of Education. He further obtained fellowships from the Cambridge University and the American School of Classical Studies. Looking toward the future, Mr. Kellogg intends to continue giving back to his community and experiencing continued success in his career.
