With more than 40 years of professional experience, Ms. Frahm was the executive director of the Kansas Association of Community College Trustees from 1966 to 2009. In addition to her primary role, she was a United States Senator from Kansas in 1996, having been lieutenant governor of the state from 1995 to 1996. From 1993 to 1994, she was the Kansas State Senate majority leader, having been a member of the Senate from 1988 to 1994. Ms. Frahm also served on the Kansas Board Of Education from 1985 to 1988.
Ms. Frahm began her career as a student at Fort Hays State University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in 1967. An active leader in her community, she is a member of the American Association of University Women, the Thomas County Day Care Association, and the Shakespeare Federation Women's Club. She has also been affiliated with the Farm Bureau, Kansas Corn Growers, the Kansas Livestock Association and Rotary International.
Throughout her career, Ms. Frahm has been recognized for her contributions, including having been named Outstanding Branch Member of the American Association of University Women in 1985. A Paul Harris fellow of Rotary International in 1988, she has been featured in numerous honors publications, including multiple editions of Who's Who in America, Who's Who in the Midwest and Who's Who of American Women.
