Robert English was the recipient of an Editors' Choice Award from the National Library of Poets, and Merit Awards from the World of Poetry and the International Society of Poets.

With more than 20 years of professional experience, Mr. English most recently worked as gallery coordinator of the Sam English Studio from 1981 to 1997. From 1973 to 1991, he excelled as a construction material clerk with U.S. West Communications, now known as the Century Link. He previously served as a coordinator and the director of the National Poetry Contest, Nizhoni Days, and the International Society of Poets.
Some of Mr. English's poetry which was published in print from 1991 to 2007 includes "Only Yours! Susanna My Rose," "Poetical Jest- My Gestful World," "The Dream Catcher," and "Cythera." He also published "Poetry in Print," "Portraits in Poetry (a memoir)," Kokopelli," Poetry in Print Vol. II," and "Poetical Quiddity." He has worked with such publishers as Carlton Press, International Society of Poets Anthologies, Watermark Press, Sparrowgrass, and American Literary Press. He has also published with Xlibris, Publish Today, and Melrose Books. Notably, Litfire Publishing represented "Poetical Quiddity" at the Frankfurt Book Fair in Germany in 2018.
Mr. English initially pursued an education at Adams State College, completing coursework from 1964 to 1965. He continued his studies with coursework at Lake Region Junior College from 1965 to 1966 and Alamogordo Community College from 1966 to 1968. He subsequently enlisted with the United States Army, serving from 1968 until his honorable discharge in 1971.
Throughout his career, Mr. English has been celebrated for his impressive contributions to the field. The recipient of an Editors' Choice Award from the National Library of Poets, he was also presented with Merit Awards from the World of Poetry and the International Society of Poets, an organization with which he holds a lifetime membership. He was inducted into the American Biological Institute Hall of Fame in 2003, was named Golden Poet by the World of Poetry in 1991 and 1992, and earned the International Poet of Merit Award and Editors Choice Award from the International Society of Poets.
Named to the International Poetry Hall of Fame, Mr. English also held a role on the American Biographical Institute research board of advisors. With the same institute, he became a research fellow in 2006 and advisory directorate international charter fellow in 2008, and he earned the 2005 Commemorative Medal as Man of the Year. The institute also awarded him the World Lifetime Achievement Award in Literature in 2004 and recognized him among Great Minds of the 21st Century Proclamation in Literature by the governing board of editors in 2005.
Furthermore, Mr. English was listed in the Literary Market Place and obtained an American Biography Honor in Dignity in 2003. He was recognized in Poetry in Print for the 15th anniversary from 1991 to 2006, received a Decree of Merit in Literature from the International Biographical Centre and was listed in Outstanding People of 20th Century in 2000. He has been additionally featured in numerous publications, including Who's Who in the World.
