Mr. Rivlin has been endorsed by Marquis Who's Who as a leader in new technology, deal-making and entrepreneurship

BETHESDA, MD, March 15, 2019 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to present Lewis A. Rivlin with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. An accomplished listee, Mr. Rivlin celebrates many years' experience in his professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes he has accrued in his field. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Mr. Rivlin is an ex-US Justice Department Prosecutor, ex-lawyer, ex-naval officer, ex-venture capitalist, and ex-high level political dilettante. He is still a new technology ferret, deal-maker and entrepreneur. He is currently and not insignificantly a participant in the expansion of the post Lava Jatto corruption-free sales of the abundance of Brazil to the world.

He applied to four law schools, Harvard, Yale, Columbia and Penn and was admitted to all four. After Harvard Law he originally started out as an Honor Program trial attorney for the United States Department of Justice in Washington, D.C., in 1957. He was in charge of one of the five cases making up US v. Loew's, a victory upheld by the Supreme Courts 371 U.S. 38 (1962). He then served as partner of O'Conner, Green, Thomas, Walters & Kelly before a serving as a founding partner at two different law firms, Peabody, Rivlin, Lambert & Meyers between 1969 and 1981 and Rivlin, Velarde & Taylor LLP between 1995 and 1998, both in Washington, DC. Mr. Rivlin also served the Hubert H. Humphrey vice presidential (1964) and presidential (1968) campaigns (including running the Humphrey-Muskie campaign against Richard Nixon in the State of Pennsylvania) and, in recent years, served as the chairman and chief executive officer for New Venture Capital Corp. in Bethesda, Maryland, a company he maintained between 1981 and 2010.

During his career in law, two of the most profound moments for Mr. Rivlin included representing MCI Communications Corp., now a part of Verizon, which led to the break up of AT&T, and his contributions that led to putting DHL, the German courier, parcel, and express mail service company, on the map. He also co-authored a report of the District of Columbia Circuit judicial conference committee on American Bar Association standards for the Administration of Criminal Justice in 1973 and co-authored "Regulating Prices in Competitive Markets" in The Yale Law Journal in 1973 with Stanford University economics professor Roger G. Noll.

Mr. Rivlin has been a longtime chairman of the board of directors and chief executive officer for Tribal Funding Development and Management Corp. He has also been the president of General International Finance Corporation. In more recent years, Mr. Rivlin began serving as an advisor and consultant for the Ex Royal ownership families of Brazil, for whom he has been active since 2010.

Obtaining a Bachelor of Arts from Swarthmore College in Swarthmore, Pennsylvania, in 1951, Mr. Rivlin then earned a Doctor of Jurisprudence from the Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts, in 1957. He was also a graduate of the US Naval War College, Reserve Command & Staff Course. Mr. Rivlin notably served from ensign to commander in the United States Navy Reserves between 1951 and 1971, including active duty as a destroyer officer, Aide & Flag Lieutenant to the Rear Admiral in charge of the Navy's part of the occupation of defeated Germany and as Commanding Officer of the First Place Naval Reserve Division in the 5th US Naval District.

Happily married to Dianne M. Farrington for more than 40 years, Mr. Rivlin is the proud father of five wonderful children and grandfather to four awesome grandchildren. In his free time, if any, he no longer plays tennis, skis sails, or fly a plane but loves to listen to classical music. In light of all his accomplishments, Mr. Rivlin has previously been selected for inclusion in Who's Who in America, Who's Who in American Law, Who's Who in the East and Who's Who in the World.

In recognition of outstanding contributions to his profession and the Marquis Who's Who community, Lewis A. Rivlin has been featured on the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement website. Please visit www.ltachievers.com for more information about this honor.
