At the beginning of his career, he worked for a small accounting firm in New Jersey, rising to partner. He joined Touche Ross & Co in New York and became a partner there also. During his stay at Touche, he was nominated to participate in the President's Executive Exchange Program under President Ford. He served as the Special Executive Assistant to the Inspector General at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. Mr. Yerman was the Partner in Charge of Client Services at Touche and left the firm shortly after it merged with Deloitte. He joined Coopers & Lybrand in its litigation and disputes practice and left Coopers when it merged with Price Waterhouse. He joined LECG LLC and became the National Director of its Intellectual Property practice and the Senior Managing Director and leader of its Washington office. After LECG's dissolution, he joined AlixPartners LLP in Washington.
A certified public accountant, Mr. Yerman earned a Bachelor of Arts from the City University of New York. He later concluded his academic efforts with postgraduate coursework at the City University of New York. In order to remain aware of changes in the field, Mr. Yerman has been affiliated with the District of Columbia Institute of CPAs, the New York State Society of CPAs and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
In addition to his work with the various professional firms, Mr. Yerman contributes to the community through such organizations as Prevent Child Abuse and DC Hotline, serving as Chairman of the Board, as well as serving on the board of other organizations such as Junior Achievement, Leadership Washington and the Council for Court Excellence.
In addition to his professional and civic efforts, Mr. Yerman serves as a national instructor for a Porsche Club of America. In addition to instructing individuals who have never driven on a race track, he also instructs and drives with the advanced group of race track drivers.
For his professional achievements, he was selected for inclusion in multiple editions of Who's Who in Finance and Industry. Looking toward the future, Mr. Yerman intends to experience the continued success of his career.
