With more than 55 years of professional experience, Ms. Stoddard has been an assistant professor with the National University of Natural Medicine since 1989. Prior to obtaining her current position, she was the director of the Miracle Medical Laboratory from 1990 to 2015, director of the Willamette Animal Laboratory from 1969 to 1992, and adjunct assistant professor at the University of Portland from 1977 to 1986. Likewise, she previously served as a general supervisor of Willamette Falls Hospital from 1965 to 1968 and a surgical research technician with Bishop Eye Research from 1964 to 1965. Earlier in her career, she was a medical technologist with the King County Blood Bank from 1962 to 1963.
Ms. Stoddard began her career as a student at Clackamas Community College, where she obtained an Associate of Science in 1973. She then joined Linfield College, completing a Bachelor of Arts in 1976. She later continued her studies with Portland State University, earning a Master of Science in education administration in 1993.
A respected voice in her industry, Ms. Stoddard has been affiliated with a number of professional organizations. She is a member of the American Chemical Society, the American Institute of Biological Sciences, the American Society for Microbiology, and American Medical Technologists. Civically involved as well, she has been an instructor with the American Red Cross since 1979, having previously been a commander with the Coast Guard Auxiliary in 1983. In addition to these endeavors, she authored two periodicals, "Veterinarian Medicine for Small Animal Clinicians" and "Advances in Carriers and Adjutant for Veterinary Biologics."
Throughout her career, Ms. Stoddard has been recognized for her contributions with awards and accolades. The recipient of the National Achievement Award in 1972 and 1974, she has been featured in numerous honors publications, including multiple editions of Who's Who in the World.
