Ms. Fall began her career as deputy art director for Amerika Magazine with the United States Information Agency in Washington, D.C. from 1956 to 1980. Following this appointment, she was owner and art director of Fall Design Communications in Washington D.C. from 1980 to 1988. She concluded her career as the director of Gallery 10 in Washington, D.C. from 1994 to 2001. Ms. Fall has also contributed to Pyramid Atlantic Art Center on the board of directors and as president.
Prior to embarking on her career, Ms. Fall received her Bachelor of Fine Arts from Syracuse University in 1952. Following this accomplishment, she completed postgraduate coursework at the American University in Washington, D.C. from 1956 to 1958 and in 1966. In 1961, she completed coursework at the Academie de la Grande Chaumiere and Academie Julian in Paris, France in 1961.
In addition to her career, Ms. Fall has created and displayed many notable artistic works. Her work was featured in solo exhibits at the Embassy of France in Phnom Penh, Cambodia in 1962, the Galerie Internationale in New York City in 1968, the Mickelson Gallery in Washington, D.C. in 1969, 1973, 1979 and 1984, the Plum Gallery in Kensington, Maryland in 1989 and the Glen Echo Stone Tower Gallery in Maryland in 2018 among others, 22 solo exhibits in all. She has additionally, participated in group shows at such places as the Assioma Gallery in Prato, Italy from 2000 to 2001, the Vietnam University of Fine Arts in 2000, the Women's Memorial Museum in Arlington Cemetery in Virginia in 2004 and the Joan Hisaoka Gallery in Washington, D.C. in 2014 and 2016, among others. Her work is represented in permanent collections at the National Museum of Women in the Arts in Washington DC, the National Academy of Sciences, Contemporary Art Museum of Montecatini, Italy and elsewhere. Ms. Fall was the art director and designer of the book "Space Science Comes of Age" in 1981, editor of "Last Reflections on a War" in 1967 with a second edition in 2000 and author of "Bernard Fall: Memories of A Soldier-Scholar."
Ms. Fall is a member of the Women's Caucus for Art, the Washington Sculptors Group, Artists Equity and the Cosmos Club. She was recipient of the Gold Medal Award from the Art Directors Club of Metropolitan Washington from 1965 to 1966 and in 1969 and 1979. She also received the Distinctive Merit Award from the Art Directors Club of New York in 1969, 1974 and from 1978 to 1979 and 1981 to 1983. In 1969, she was awarded the Silver Medal from the New York Society of Illustrators. Ms. Fall has previously been selected for inclusion in multiple editions of Who's Who in America and Who's Who of American Women.
