SEATTLE, WA, March 29, 2019 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to present Malcolm A. Moore with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. An accomplished listee, Mr. Moore celebrates many years' experience in his professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes he has accrued in his field. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Mr. Moore is a former attorney of 54 years who recently retired in 2016 as partner at Davis Wright Tremaine LLP in Seattle, WA. In this full-service law firm with eight offices across the United States and in Shanghai, China, he focused his practice on tax, trusts and estate planning. Prior to acquiring his position at Davis Wright Tremaine, Mr. Moore spent three years as an associate attorney at Hughes Hubbard & Reed in New York City.
A member and former chair of the Real Property, Probate and Trust Law section of the American Bar Association between 1982 and 1983, Mr. Moore is also a member and past president of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel. He is a longtime member of the Washington State Bar Association, the Seattle-King County Bar Association, the American College of Tax Counsel, the American Law Institute and the International Academy of Estate and Trust Law. Locally involved, Mr. Moore served as a trustee for the Lakeside School in Seattle for 14 years beginning in 1974. He has notably been showcased in the 44th through 50th editions of Who's Who in America.
Mr. Moore noted that he chose to work in law simply by chance. Taking various courses in politics, history, sociology and economics, it seemed to be the logical next step. Happy with his decision, upon earning a Bachelor of Arts from Princeton University in 1959, he then completed a Bachelor of Laws at Harvard University in 1962. He was soon after admitted to the New York Bar Association in 1963 and the Washington State Bar Association in 1966.
Born in Paterson, NJ, Mr. Moore later married his wife Phoebe Ann King in 1962. They share three children together, one of which is an international estate lawyer, the second is a secondary school librarian and the third is in information technology working in a law firm. In his free time, Mr. Moore is a member of the Seattle Tennis Club and the University Club.
In recognition of outstanding contributions to his profession and the Marquis Who's Who community, Malcolm A. Moore has been featured on the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement website. Please visit www.ltachievers.com for more information about this honor.
