With 35 years of professional experience, Ms. Prozan most recently held a sole practice in Burlingame, CA, from 1976 to 1998, also serving as an adjunct professor at the College of Law at John F. Kennedy University from 1979 to 1982. Prior to obtaining these roles, she was a television newscaster and investigative reporter for KNTV in San Jose, CA, from 1968 to 1972. Early in her career, Ms. Prozan became Cleveland Ohio's first television weather girl on WEWS. Later, she moderated public affairs programs on KPIX and appeared in a feature on the KQED program "World Press" in San Francisco. She also had held the role of television production staff member for NBC in New York City. She appeared as Sylvia Simmons in her television career.
Ms. Prozan began her career as a student at Barnard College, obtaining a Bachelor of Arts in American studies in 1955. She then joined Case Western Reserve University, completing a Master of Arts in history in 1959. Later in her career, she returned to her studies with the University of California, Berkeley, earning a Doctor of Jurisprudence in 1975. She has since been admitted to practice law in California in 1976 and before the U.S. Supreme Court in 1980.
A respected voice in her industry, Ms. Prozan has been an active leader in her community. She is a member of the American Association of University Women, the International Association of Lawyers and the San Mateo County Bar Association. She has also been affiliated with the Bar of San Francisco, the California Trial Lawyers Association and the State Bar of California.
Throughout her career, Ms. Prozan has been recognized for her achievements. She has received awards and accolades for her contributions and accomplishments.
