Earlier in her career she joined Fireman's Fund Insurance Co., where she served as surety executive underwriter, surety underwriter, marketing manager and regional surety center manager. In a career filled with highlights, she is especially proud of winning the Golden Beaver Award for Service and Supply to the Heavy Construction Industry in 2016. Impressively, Ms. Hecker was only the third woman to be presented with this award.
A chartered property and casualty underwriter, Ms. Hecker pursued coursework at Union University and Jackson State Community College in Tennessee. In order to remain abreast of changes in the field, she affiliated herself with the Construction Financial Management Association, the National Association for Female Executives and the National Association of Surety Bond Producers, where she served as president from 2015 until 2016, the second woman to hold the role in the history of the association. During her spare time, she gave back to her community through the allocations committee of the United Way of Metropolitan Nashville. For her professional accomplishments, she was honored with a feature in the 16th volume of Who's Who of American Women.
