With more than five years of professional excellence to his credit, Mr. Koirala has been serving as a revenue accounting supervisor with Citrix Systems, Inc., since 2018, where he also worked as a senior revenue accountant between 2016 and 2018. During the course of his daily routine, he analyzes and oversees the revenue recording of a $3.2 billion publicly traded multinational software company. He also supervises revenue audits and implements the recommendations given, and reviews sales contracts to ensure that revenue is recorded in compliance with software revenue recognition policies.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Koirala joined Grant Thornton LLP as an assurance associate, before gaining valuable expertise through varying roles with BDO USA, PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP and Ernst & Young LLP. Over the years, he has become familiar with S-1 Registration procedures, PCAOB standards, quarterly 10-Q and annual 10-K SEC reporting procedures, SOX procedures, SEC reporting and GAAP.
An expert in his field, Mr. Koirala holds an Associate of Applied Sciences in business administration from Northern Virginia Community College and a Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting from the University of the District of Columbia, where he graduated summa cum laude. Currently, he is pursuing a Master of Business Administration at Florida Atlantic University. In an effort to remain abreast of changes in the field, he maintains affiliation with the National Association of Black Accountants, where he serves as vice president of the Miami chapter, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and International Health Initiatives, where he has been serving as a financial advisor of Safety NET and the Nepal Earthquake Taskforce since 2015.
In light of his professional excellence in accounting, Mr. Koirala won the Thurgood Marshall College Fund Leadership Training Award in 2010. He also received numerous scholarships, such as the Johnson & Johnson Scholarship, the Bert Smith & Company Scholarship, and the Becker CPA Review Scholarship from the National Association of Black Accountants, and the Peter Regis & Associates Scholarship from the University of the District of Columbia School of Business. In addition, he received the Leadership Award from the Miami chapter of the National Association of Black Accountants and the Good Citizenship Award from Grant Thornton LLP. Looking ahead, Mr Koirala intends to pursue executive leadership position in the field of Accounting/Finance.
