With over 20 years of professional experience in the field, Rev. Ware once served as the director of church and community mobilization at The Balm in Gilead in New York, NY. Earlier in her career, she proudly carried out the role of an assistant pastor at South Side Unity Center of Christianity in Chicago, IL before becoming the pastor of said institution in 1997. Prior to these positions, she worked as a program coordinator, instructor and student affairs assistant for Olive-Harvey College in Chicago, IL from 1988 to 1998, as well as a minister, director, and teacher at Christ Universal Temple from 1982 to 1993. Her career also includes being a principal at Cabrini-Green Alternative High School in Chicago, IL from 1973 to1977. Rev. Ware has further excelled as the director of education at Christ Universal Temple in Chicago, IL and the dean of ministerial training for the Johnnie Colemon Theological Seminary.
In relation to her career endeavors, Rev. Ware has provided her skills and resources as the program director and an associate for the National College of Education in Evanston, IL from 1978 to 1981. She holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Metaphysics, a program affiliated with the University of Sedona in Arizona. She has also served in the United States Navy as a hospital corpsman. Furthermore, Rev. Ware maintains affiliation with various professional organizations. Once a member of The National HIV Vaccine Communications Steering Group, she is also associated with the Council of National Religious AIDS Networks.
In light of her achievements, Rev. Ware has been presented with the Black Rose Award by the League of Black Women. Additionally, she has previously been featured in Who's Who in the East as well as Who's Who in America. Outside of her professional life, Rev. Ware enjoys traveling, reading, dancing, sewing and art in her spare time.
