Formerly overseeing various short-term projects in Southeast Asia and the United States between 2002 and 2006, he also provided mining equipment service support for Caterpillar, the world's largest construction equipment manufacturer. Covering Southeast Asia, he worked for the organization for seven years between 1994 and 2001. Prior to being hired by Caterpillar, Mr. Scott was a mechanical supervisor for Occidental Petroleum in Eastern Ecuador and was a troubleshooter for Ziegler, Inc., in Des Moines, IA. He also held positions with Wilbur Smith Associates in Bangladesh, Ritchie Brothers International in Sri Lanka, H.B. Zachary in Sri Lanka, Green Engineering and Mining in Whitesburg, KY, and several other organizations. He has been in the field since 1974.

Crediting much of his success to his willingness to travel to remote locations for extended periods to work, he hopes to continue in the field for several more years and aspires to work on a new project that is not only challenging, but also dangerous.
Mr. Scott is a member of the Overseas Craftsman Association, Masons and Shriners. Named Honorary Kentucky Colonel in 1986, Mr. Scott has also since been cited in Who's Who in the South and Southwest and Who's Who in Finance and Industry. He is notably a Caterpillar certified technician #8707.
Born in Princeton, MO, to Delbert Earl Scott and Beulah Dell Tucker Scott, Mr. Scott grew up on a farm where he had the opportunity to learn about heavy equipment. Becoming fascinated with the machinery, he especially took to the Caterpillar bulldozer. Shortly after high school, he began his career working for a Caterpillar dealer in Des Moines, IA, at a customer's mine site in Guyana and continuously progressed from there.
