Mr. Walker continued his career as a senior planner for the State of Colorado from 1976 to 1978, and as a planning consultant with Paragon Engineering Inc., in Grand Junction, CO from 1978 to 1979.
Mr. Walker further excelled with the Metropolitan Life Insurance Company in Oak Brook, IL, New York, NY, Denver, CO and Dallas, TX, holding the posts of an appraiser, senior appraiser, portfolio manager, assistant vice president, and national director between 1980 and 1995. During his career, he contributed as a vice president with Cigna Investment Management, First American Capital Management and Shape Financial Corporation, prior to performing as a benefit counselor for the group benefits of various insurance companies, a role he has served since 2007. A retired veteran who served in the United States Army Reserve, earning the rank of a Lieutenant Colonel, Mr. Walker is a lifetime member of the Association of the United States Army and Military Officers Association of America. He is also a member of the the Air Force Association, the Navy League of the United States, the American Legion and Rotary International.
Moreover, Mr. Walker was involved with several other career-related endeavors including work as the chairman/president or a board member for the Planning and Zoning Commission for the City of Naperville, Il, the DFW Chapter of Community Associations Institute, and Rotary International, respectively. Some of his notable achievements include serving as the Deputy Mayor Pro Tem and a Councilmember for the town of Flower Mound, TX from 2013 to 2015. A highlight of Mr. Walker's investment career was during his tenure with the Metropolitan Life Insurance Company, his authorship of the procedural guide for commercial real estate asset management for which he was presented with an award.
