She received a Bachelor of Science from the University of Missouri in 1973, graduating cum laude. She began her career with Famous-Barr in St. Louis in 1975, holding the positions of a department manager, buyer, and a store manager until 1982. Ms. Fish further excelled with Venture Stores in St. Louis in 1982, working as a buyer, a division merchandise manager, and a division vice president until 1993.
Furthermore, Ms. Fish worked as a Senior Vice-President, a Market Representative, a Director and a Vice-President of Sales and Merchandising from 1995-2015. Apart from her primary career responsibilities, Ms. Fish has supplied her skills and resources to the Department of Textile & Apparel Management at the University of Missouri as an advisory board member (1986-2018) and adjunct professor (2012-2014). Civically, she has been a volunteer coordinator for the U.S. Olympic Festival and a board member for Talking Tapes for the Blind and the Central Institute for the Deaf and a board member and officer for AMC Cancer Research Center. Ms. Fish's strong work ethic was responsible for raising $1.5 million for Siteman Cancer Center in St Louis by creating and managing all volunteer 'Celebrate' events between 1997 and 2014.
As a testament to her achievements, Ms. Fish has been the recipient of the Torch of Liberty Award from the Anti-Defamation League, the Citation of Merit from the University of Missouri, the Spirit of Excellence Award from AMC Cancer Research Center and the Angel Award from Celebrate Fitness. She has also received the Patients of Courage Award from the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and served as a spokesperson for Purina Cat Chow's 'Connected for the Cause' campaign. Outside of work she enjoys working out, reading, gardening and home decorating.
