Prior to obtaining these positions, he was chief executive officer of Wave Zero, Inc., from 2000 to 2004, director of business development at Logical Services, Inc., and Smartfex Systems, Inc., from 1998 to 2000, and chief executive officer of Paragon Solutions, Inc., from 1994 to 1998.
From 1983 to 1994, Dr. Arnold was Director R&O, Principal Scientist and manager of new business at Anamet Laboratories, Inc., where he was also a consultant engineer from 1975 to 1978. He served as a senior engineering specialist with Ford Aeronautical and Communications Corporation from 1981 to 1983, and he was a senior engineer with United Technology Corporation from 1978 to 1981. Earlier in his career, Dr. Arnold was a staff engineer at Acurex Corporation from 1973 to 1975 and an assistant structures engineer with United Technology Corporation from 1972 to 1973.
Dr. Arnold began his career as a student at the University of Missouri, obtaining a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering in 1970. He then studies at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he received a Master of Science in mechanical engineering in 1972. He continued his studies with Stanford University, earning a Master of Science and Doctor of Philosophy in civil engineering in 1980 and 1983, respectively. A registered professional engineer in the state of California, Dr. Arnold also holds a Master of Business Administration in marketing from University of Notre Dame, which he obtained in 1993.
A contributor of articles to professional journals, Dr. Arnold is the prominent author of "The Smart Entrepreneur" in 2014 and "The Ninety Minute Entrepreneur" in 2016. He has maintained affiliation with the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics, where he is also a fellow, as well as the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, Pi Tau Sigma, Phi Kappa Phi and Sigma Xi.
Throughout his career, Dr. Arnold has been recognized for his achievements. He has received awards and accolades for his contributions and accomplishments.
