Additionally, he has worked as director of Wands Art Studio and Gallery since 1978. At the start of his career, he gained valuable expertise with University of Denver and the YMCA of the Rockies in Estes Park, Colorado. Throughout his career, he has had his work shown in important exhibitions, including the I 25 Corridor Artist Show and a show at the Cleveland Art Institute and Denver At Museum. Other places his work has been shown include the Off Broadway Art Galleries, The Colorado Gallery and the Nemick Thompson Gallery. Mr. Wands is also represented in permanent collections at the Colorado Center for the Arts, the Colorado National Bank and the Sangre de Cristo Art Center in Pueblo, which is honoring him with a retrospective exhibition on his lifetime work in 2020.
An expert in his field, Mr. Wands holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts and a Master of Arts from the University of Denver. Subsequently, he pursued postgraduate studies through Case Western Reserve University in Celveland and the Cleveland Art Institute. During his spare time, he gives back to his community through the Cultural Arts Council of Estes Park. For his professional excellence, he earned features in Who's Who in America, Who's Who in the West and Who's Who in American Education.
