Ms. Hienton is a retired Arizona attorney of 25 years. Ms. Hienton is a past member of the section of court staff attorneys and a nominating committee member of the American Bar Association.
Throughout her career, Ms. Hienton has contributed to articles in various legal journals. She has also spoken several times at the Western States Land Commissioners conferences in her area of expertise. Prior to embarking on her career, she earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Hawaii in 1971 and a Doctor of Jurisprudence from Arizona State University in 1975. Ms. Hienton was licensed to practice law by the State Bar of Arizona in 1975.
Active with the Daughters of the American Revolution for more than 25 years, Ms. Hienton is also a longtime member of the Junior League of Phoenix, member and past president of the Soroptimist International of Phoenix and founding life member of the Arizona Science Center. Furthermore, she chaired Women and the Media for 1993 – 1994. She currently serves on the District 28 Precinct Committee on behalf of the Republican Party.
A Distinguished-Rated Attorney by Martindale-Hubbell every year between 1987 and 2017, Ms. Hienton has been recognized for both her legal ability and ethics. She has also been cited in several editions of Who's Who in American Law, Who's Who of American Women and Who's Who of Emerging Leaders in America. Happily married to her husband, James Robert Hienton, for over 40 years, Ms. Hienton spends her free time learning to speak Spanish and playing chess. She and her husband, Jim Hienton, also enjoy and are part sponsors of the Arabian horse show that occurs every winter in Scottsdale, Arizona.
