After accruing many years of practiced industry experience, Dr. Wingender retired from his role as a computer program developer with the Stonebridge Consulting Agency in 2008. At the beginning of his career, he worked for Forest Products Laboratory as a chemist for three years. Following these appointments, he found success in research and chemistry through his work with the Ansul Company, Industrial Bio-Test Laboratories and CBT Laboratories. Prior to his retirement, Dr. Wingender excelled as the manager of analytical research and development for the Dexter Corporation from 1989 to 2000 and as an associate group leader for the Argonne National Laboratory from 1979 to 1989.
A fellow of Sigma Xi, the Scientific Research Honor Society, Dr. Wingender initially pursued an education at the University of Wisconsin, earning a Bachelor of Science in 1959. He continued his studies with a Master of Science in 1961 from the University of Iowa. Dr. Wingender concluded his academic efforts at the University of Wisconsin in 1969, graduating with a Doctor of Philosophy in Chemistry.
