She has also held the roles of vice president of government relations and policy development and vice president for Futures in Rehabilitation Management. Earlier in her career, she was an assistant to Congressman William Anderson of the United States House of Representatives. From there, she joined the United States National Institute of Education as a planning consultant, legal assistant and assistant for government and external relations. Over the years, she has also gained valuable expertise through her varying positions with the National Association of Rehabilitation Facilities, the American Rehabilitation Association, and American Rehabilitation Services Inc. She also practiced law in a private practice for 7 years. In a career filled with highlights, Ms. Zollar is especially proud of getting numerous laws passed to help others receive rehabilitation services.
An expert in her field, Ms. Zollar holds a Bachelor of Arts from Smith College in Massachusetts, a Master of Arts from Columbia University in New York City and a Doctor of Jurisprudence from American University in Washington, D.C. In order to stay abreast of changes in the field, she is a member of the American Society of Association Executives, the American Health Lawyers Association, the District of Columbia Bar and Women in Government Relations. During her spare time, Ms. Zollar has given back to those less fortunate through the Rock Creek Foundation and the National Rehabilitation Caucus.
Due to her outstanding work in the field, Ms. Zollar won the Helen Hayes MacArthur Award in 2008 and a Leadership Excellence Award from the American Medical Rehabilitation Providers Association in 2012. She has also been featured in Who's Who in America, Who's Who in the East, Who's Who in the South and Southwest, Who's Who in American Law and Who's Who of American Women. In the coming years, Ms. Zollar intends to continue to grow and expand her areas of interest.
