Mr. Husband joined IBM's San Francisco office in 1966 in computer sales, learning how to program IBM's newly announced System/360 computer and how to understand the needs of the customer and what advantages the new computer would bring to the customer. During the four years he was employed with IBM, he saw most of his fellow sales trainees leave because of the difficulties and complexities of the job. He was one of only a few to make it through the program.
He incorporated 20th Century Systems, a consulting and technology seminar firm in 1979, presenting technology and finance seminars to approximately 10,000 information technology executives in the United States, Canada and Europe between 1980 and 1999. He has also developed and copyrighted "Explore Rail History", an internet accessible and searchable "Railroad History Encyclopedia" with over 100,000 catalog entries. The database, which was developed over a 20-year period, includes an index to most of the important rail industry articles, books, maps and archival records. Mr. Husband made the prediction that IBM would deliver a 10,000 mip processor within 10 years that would be affordable. IBM introduced such a system in that period.
Mr. Husband authored and copyrighted "Computer Acquisition and Disposition Planning" with sections on IBM marketing policies, obsolescence strategies, financing and contraction negotiations. The seventh edition of the 700 page book was published in 1987. He served as an editor for COMPUTALK magazine since 1987 and was a contributing editor for Computer Economics magazine from 1987 to 1992.

Mr. Husband received a Bachelor of Science in chemistry from Iowa State University in 1962.
Upon graduation from Iowa State University, he was commissioned as a U.S. Navy Supply Officer in 1962, serving four years active duty between 1962 and 1966, including 18 months as an assistant supply and disbursing officer aboard the USS Nitro, making two deployments overseas. He was responsible for ensuring that the ship had enough food stores for each six month deployment, paying the crew, standing deck watches and other duties including temporary assignment as an assistant to the Communications Officer with responsibility for decrypting messages while overseas. He was promoted and transferred to the Disbursing Office at the U.S. Naval Ordnance Plant in Louisville, KY in 1964, where he was responsible for the supervision of 12 disbursing clerks, with annual payments of approximately $250 million (about $2 Billion with inflation today). Married since 1965 to Janet Goatley of Springfield, KY, Mr. Husband is a father of two children.
He is an accomplished singer having sung in Iowa State University's exclusive "Iowa State Singers", appearing in their spring performance of "Brigadoon." Since then he has sung in various church choirs, Barbershop chorus groups and the Louisville Chorus.
