An expert in his field, Mr. Brown earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from Baylor University. A senior warden of St. Paul Episcopalian Church, he further contributed to his community through the Waco Chamber of Commerce, the Kings Daughters Hospital, the Margaret C. B. and S. Spencer N. Brown Foundation Inc., the Farmers Compress Company, and the Earle-Harrison House. Throughout his career, Mr. Brown authored a number of books, including "Christian Answers to Teenage Sex Questions," "Brown Stanton Evans Sherman Families and Collateral Lines 1420-1987," "Neville, Jones, Giles, Spencer, Harrison Families and Collateral Lines, 1600-1992" and "Two Centuries of the Boyce and Cannon Families."
At the beginning of his career, Mr. Brown completed service in the United States Navy, rising to the rank of lieutenant prior to his honorable discharge. Due to his professional excellence, he was selected for inclusion in the 24th edition of Who's Who in Finance and Industry.
