REDWOOD CITY, CA, April 23, 2019 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to present Brenda Jones with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. An accomplished listee, Ms. Jones celebrates many years' experience in her professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes she has accrued in her field. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
An award-winning administrator with a passion for education, Ms. Jones pursued a career in academics as inspired by her involvement with the International Order of the Rainbow for Girls as a teenager. "Joining IORG was transformative for me. It gave me the experience of leadership, organization and working with others as a role model," she says, noting that education seemed to be a natural career path for her. After earning a Bachelor of Arts from San Francisco State University, Ms. Jones began her career in 1973 as a teacher for the Lakeport Unified School District in California, spending nearly a decade in this position, where she established herself as an emerging professional with true promise in her field.
In recognition of her capabilities, Ms. Jones found success within Lakeport Unified School District, accepting the roles of an assistant principal in 1982 and a director of educational services and special projects in 1988. Driven by a lifelong love of learning, she remained with the school district until 2000, at which time she became the director of pupil personnel services with the Redwood City School District. After three years, she was appointed to the team at the Santa Clara County Office of Education, where she served as the principal and a program manager for special education until her retirement. Reflecting back on a successful career, Ms. Jones notes that it was a surprising honor to be selected to work with the Santa Clara County Office of Education, as it was a culmination of more than 40 years of hard work, dedication and the joyful sharing of education.
Ms. Jones was tremendously involved with the Association of California School Administrators, whose mission is to be the driving force for an equitable, world-class education system and to develop and support inspired educational leaders who meet the diverse needs of all California students. In addition to her membership with the organization, she was active as the president for its Lake County charter. Attributing her success to her passion and her positive attitude, Ms. Jones has been featured in multiple editions of Who's Who in America, Who's Who of American Women, Who's Who in the West, and Who's Who in Education.
In recognition of outstanding contributions to her profession and the Marquis Who's Who community, she has been featured on the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement website. Please visit www.ltachievers.com for more information about this honor.
