Arbuckle professor of marketing and management science, and director of the Ph.D. program in business beginning in 1974. Over the years, he has also gained valuable expertise through his work with the Marketing Science Institute as a member of the board of academic trustees, the University of Rochester as an associate professor and assistant professor of management and marketing, and Larsen & Toubro Limited as an assistant engineer.
An expert in his field, Dr. Srinivasan holds a Bachelor of Science in technology from the Indian Institute of Technology Madras, where he was a gold medalist, and a Master of Science and Doctor of Philosophy from Carnegie Mellon University. In an effort to remain abreast of changes in the field, he maintains affiliation with the Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences and the American Marketing Association.
With a plethora of knowledge at his disposal, Dr. Srinivasan has contributed to the Journal of Marketing Research and the Journal, Marketing Science, as an associate editor. He is the co-author of articles, including "Conjoint Analysis in Consumer Research: Issues and Outlook," "Conjoint Analysis in Marketing: New Development with Implications for Research and Practice" and "Salesforce Compensation Plans: An Agency – Theoretic Perspective."
In light of his professional accomplishments, Dr. Srinivasan has earned ten Best Research Papers Awards and has had the Srinivasan Young Scholar Award named in his honor by the American Marketing Association. A fellow of the Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences, the INFORMS Society for Marketing Science, and the American Marketing Association, he also received the Churchill Award, Converse Award, Parlin Award, and Weaver Award throughout his tenure.
