A testament to his achievements, Dr. Young has been presented with the 2018 Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award, the 2017 Congressional Lifetime Achievement Award, and recipient of the 2017 Life Coach of the Year Award. Additionally, he is acknowledged as one of the top 50 African American Health, Wellness, and Mental Health Professionals in Metropolitan Houston and considered one of the most distinguished Relationship and Executive Coaches in the United States. Accepting the Vice Chancellor's Leadership Award from the University of Houston, Dr. Young been further honored by the Texas State Legislature for his many achievements and contributions to the American Family and Diversity in Business Culture and by the City of Houston City Council with a Certificate of Recognition for his achievements in the national media and publishing.
To remain aware of changes in the field, Dr. Young maintains his affiliation with the Black Life Coaches Association, for which he was appointed to the executive advisory board. He is also a member of the International Coach Federation, the WellCoaches School of Coaching and the Coach Diversity Institute. Prior to embarking upon his professional path, he always followed his desire to significantly impact the lives of other people in same ways that a few very special, extraordinary people have affected his life.
