With 40 years of professional experience, Ms. Fry Goschke has been an art instructor with Rowan College at Gloucester County (formerly Gloucester County College) since 2007. Prior to obtaining her current position, she was an assistant curator with the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts Studio School Gallery and served in a Samuel Fels Fund Fellowship at the Greater Philadelphia Cultural Alliance in 2001. From 1995 to 2000, she was an art instructor with Camden County College, having held the same position with the college from 1991 to 1993 and with Cabrini College in 1993, Holy Family College from 1992 to 1996, Berkeley Education and Training Center from 1990 to 1993, and Delaware County Community College in 1986. She served as an Arts-in-Education visiting artist in the PA Council on the Arts Artist-in-Residence Program, 1991-2012. Earlier in her career, Ms. Fry Goschke was a commercial printing instructor with Eastern Montgomery County Vo-Tech School, 1986 to 1991, and an intern with the Rosenbach Museum and Library in 1984. She has also held various commercial design and graphic production positions, most recently as a Design Technician at Enterprise Marketing & Communications until 2013.
Ms. Fry Goschke began her career as a student at Pennsylvania State University, obtaining a Bachelor of Fine Arts in painting, with distinction, in 1979. She then joined the Philadelphia College of Art, completing a Master of Arts in printmaking and education, with honor, in 1985. After surviving a life-threatening automobile accident and recovering from the resulting traumatic brain injury, she returned to continue her studies with the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, earning a Master of Fine Arts in 2002. She has been certified in teaching by Temple University, in web design development by the Rutgers School of Business, and digital design teacher education by Adobe© Systems, Inc. Train the Trainer Program.
Ms. Fry Goschke has served as President of Friends of Carpenter's Woods in Philadelphia, PA since 2011 and as a Board member since 2008. She has held numerous one-woman shows of her own artwork at such prominent locations as the Springfield Public Library, the Benjamin Rush Gallery, and the Carolyn Fielder-Alber Gallery at Allens Lane Art Center. Her artwork has also been exhibited at the Central Pennsylvania Festival of the Arts, the Terrance Gallery National Printmaking Exhibition, the Provident National Bank (now PNC Bank), Wayne Art Center, New York Center for Photographic Art (NYC4PA), Woodmere Art Museum, The State Museum of Pennsylvania, and the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, among many other institutions. Demonstrating versatility in her profession, she also has had photographs published in Chestnut Hill Local, Friends of the Wissahickon Newsletter and Calendar, Mt. Airy Times and on Audubon Important Bird Area signage, as well as winning awards for formal women's garment design and non-profit marketing publication design.
Throughout her career, Ms. Fry Goschke has been recognized for her contributions. The recipient of the All About Art at Moss Rehab Juror's Choice Award for Photography in 2018, she has also received myriad First Place and Second Place awards in printmaking and photography from the All About Art at Moss Rehab, Art Ability at Bryn Mawr Rehab Hospital, the Ambler Art Center Open Juried Exhibition, Best of Pennsylvania Artists and Artisans, and Best of America Artists and Artisans: Photography. She was the featured artist for Art Ability in 2009, with her photographs representing the Art Ability community and exhibition program throughout Pennsylvania. She also received the Martha F. Eckard Photography Award and the Robert Volpe Memorial Third Photography Prize at Art Ability, the Dr. and Mrs. Herbert Moss Award for Excellence at All About Art, and the Johnson & Johnson Purchase Prize from the Printmaking Council of New Jersey. In 1984, her xerographic prints toured the People's Republic of China as part of the East/West Printmaking Exchange Exhibition. She has also been featured in numerous honors publications and on-line art competitions, including multiple editions of Who's Who in America, Who's Who in the World, and Who's Who of American Women.
