Mr. Ziegenbusch was inspired to go into the entertainment industry at a young age. He first appeared on a local television show in Lima, OH, where he grew up. The show was hosted by Easter Straker, and Mr. Ziegenbusch remembers being fascinated by the studio and the lights, adding that after the show aired, he gained local attention from people in his neighborhood who had seen him on television. From that point onward, he found his calling.
In adulthood, Mr. Ziegenbusch is regarded for his work across a number of entertainment principles. He is a radio personality for KOST Radio in Los Angeles, where he has had an on-air show since 1982. He has also been an actor in various motion pictures and television commercials since 1982. Previously, Mr. Ziegenbusch came to prominence in a number of roles in the music industry. He was a radio personality for a number of stations, including KIFM Radio in San Diego, KGB Radio in San Diego, KCAL Radio in San Bernardino, and KMEN Radio in San Bernardino. In the latter two roles, he split his time and served as music director for the stations. Mr. Ziegenbusch was also a program director for The Mighty 690, consultant for KOLA Radio and regional director for Excel Communications. In 2003-2004, Ted Wayne Ziegenbusch also hosted a weekly syndicated radio show "Saturday Night Love Songs with Ted Ziegenbusch" that was heard on radio stations from coast-to-coast on the Jones Radio Network.
Named Best Actor by the National Thespian Society in 1969, Mr. Ziegenbusch supports his career through his memberships with the Screen Actors Guild and the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists. Before establishing himself in his field, Mr. Ziegenbusch completed his education. He attended California State University, Fullerton, and San Bernardino Valley College, where he achieved an Associate of Arts in 1971.
Looking back at more than five decades of experience, Mr. Ziegenbusch notes that the highlight of his career has been hosting the nightly radio show at KOST Radio. The program, which he still hosts today, is popular among women in Los Angeles.
