Supported by nearly 35 years of practiced experience in operations management consulting, Mr. Britton began his career with Arthur Young & Company as a consultant from 1968 to 1972 and as a manager from 1972 to 1976. A partner-in-charge of the West Region Energy Consulting from 1975 to 1979, he also held the role of principal of Arthur Young & Company during this time before becoming a partner and the office director of the department of management services from 1979 to 1988. After these appointments, Mr. Britton served Price Waterhouse as a partner, the partner-in-charge of the West Coast national aerospace and defense industry practice, and the partner-in-charge of the West Coast manufacturing and logistics practice from 1988 to 1995.
When the firm transitioned into PricewaterhouseCoopers, Mr. Britton excelled as a partner and the global chair of high technology for the MSC technology industry practice from 1995 to 2000 and the chief operating officer of the MSC West business unit from 2000 until his retirement from the industry in 2002. Following his retirement, he joined the board of retired partners in 2014. Mr. Britton currently holds the post of the president of the Orange County chapter of the Oklahoma State University Alumni Association and the treasurer of the Cowboy Academy of Industrial Engineering and Management at Oklahoma State University.
An expert lecturer in his field, Mr. Britton notably completed service to the rank of captain with the United States Army Reserve from 1971 to 1986. He has been an active member of the capital campaign committee of the College of Engineering, Architecture & Technology at Oklahoma State University and has also maintained his involvement with numerous civic endeavors over the years as well. Having been active as the chair of the Costa Mesa Arts Council, Mr. Britton has found success on the board of directors for Special Olympics Southern California, as a trustee of the Providence Speech and Hearing Center, President of the South Coast Repertory Theater, as the chair of the planning commission of the city of San Dimas, California, and in a variety of other roles with local organizations.
To prepare for his career, Mr. Britton pursued a formal education at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering in 1966 and Master of Science in industrial engineering and management in 1968. In order to remain aware of developments in his profession during active service, he maintained affiliation with numerous professional organizations, including the American Production and Inventory Control Society and the Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineers. Likewise, Mr. Britton was a member of the Industrial League of Orange County, the Ridgeline Country Club, the Jonathan Club. Currently he is a member of The Santa Ana Country Club and the Kappa Sigma Fraternity.
The recipient of a number of accolades over the years, Mr. Britton has been elected to several honor societies as well, including the Blue Key Honor Society, Alpha Pi Mu, Pi Tau Sigma and the Oklahoma State Cowboy Academy of Industrial Engineering and Management. He has also been celebrated for his achievements with a Saint Pat's Award. In light of all his accomplishments, Mr. Britton has previously been featured in Who's Who in American Universities, Who's Who in Finance and Business, Who's Who in Finance and Industry, Who's Who in America, Who's Who in the West and Who's Who in the World.
Born in Pawhuska, Oklahoma, to Thomas Warren Britton and Helen Viola Haynes, Mr. Britton has been happily married to Deborah Ann Mansour since 1973. He is also the proud father of two daughters, Natalie Dawn and Kimberly Ann, and is grandfather to five wonderful grandchildren. In his retirement, Mr. Britton enjoys sailing, golfing, spending time with his family and travelling.
