After graduating with a Bachelor of Arts from Cornell University in 1958, Mr. Rose earned a Doctor of Jurisprudence from Washington and Lee University in Lexington, VA, in 1963. During this time, he also served in the United States Army, achieving the rank of a first lieutenant between 1958 and 1960. Beginning his career as a partner with Cummings & Lockwood LLC in Stamford, CT, from 1965 to 1991, Mr. Rose subsequently accepted the role as a partner with Kleban & Samor, P.C. in Southport, CT, between 1991 and 1993.
Between 1963 and 1970, Mr. Rose has represented cases in front of the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York, the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York, and the United States District Court for the District of Connecticut. Additionally, he was admitted to practice law by the New York State Bar Association, the Connecticut Bar Association and the Supreme Court of the United States. In addition to his primary responsibilities, he served as a member of the advisory committee for the Connecticut Banking Commission on Connecticut Securities Laws since 1982, as well as a member of the board of directors for the Connecticut World Trade Association. A member of the New Canaan Country Club, Mr. Rose also maintains affiliation with the Gridiron Club of New Canaan, the Poinsettia Club of New Canaan, Phi Delta Phi, Omicron Delta Kappa, and Phi Delta Theta.
Mr. Rose excelled with Whitman Breed Abbot & Morgan LLC in Greenwich, CT from 1993 to 1995, further progressing to the post of a principal at Roberts & Bates, P.C. in Stamford between 1995 and 2005. After working as a principal with Murtha Cullina LLP from 2005 to 2009, he concluded his career as a principal for Fox Rothschild LLP in 2010. Civically, he has maintained his involvement with the New Canaan Preservation Alliance Inc., the Southwest Area Industry and Commerce Association, the Foreign Trade Zone Committee to the Mayor of the city of Bridgeport, CT, as well as the New Canaan Historical District Commission.
