At the beginning of her career, Dr. Klaas completed an internship through St. Mary's Hospital, a residency through Stanford University Medical Center and a fellowship in nuclear medicine at the Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology.
Prior to embarking upon her professional path, Dr. Klaas earned a Doctor of Medicine from the University of California, Irvine. She later became a diplomate of the American Board of Nuclear Medicine and the American Board of Radiology. In order to remain aware of changes in the field, Dr. Klaas has been affiliated with the American Association of Nuclear Physicians, the Radiological Society of North America, the Society of Nuclear Medicine, the American College of Radiology and the American Roentgen Ray Society.
Due to her professional accomplishments, Dr. Klaas was recognized as a Top Doctor by Castle Connolly from 2010 until 2016, during which time she was also honored as one of Seattle's Top Doctors through Seattle Magazine.
