With over 30 years of experience to his credit, Dr. Van Doren is currently retired, having most recently served as the executive director of clinical affairs for the Masonic Children's Learning Centers, now known as the Children's Dyslexia Centers, in Lexington, MA, from 2000 to 2002. Prior to this role, he excelled as the vice president of Manchester Partners International in Princeton, NJ, and the vice president of Minsuk, Macklin, Stein and Associates in Princeton Junction, NJ. Earlier in his career, Dr. Van Doren found success through his work with Fuchs, Cuthrell & Company, Mainstream Access Inc. and Rider University.
Prior to embarking on his professional path, Dr. Van Doren earned a Bachelor of Arts from Macalester College in Saint Paul, MN, in 1968. Continuing his studies at Ball State University in Muncie, IN, he subsequently obtained a Master of Arts in 1972 and a Doctor of Education in 1975. Following these accomplishments, he began his career as a postdoctoral intern at the University Counseling Center at Shippensburg University in Pennsylvania and the Elmcrest Psychiatric Institute in Portland, Connecticut, between 1975 and 1977. He later served on the medical staff of Elmcrest as a Clinical Administrator. Dr. Van Doren is also a fellow of the American College of Forensic Examiners Institute and a diplomate of the American Board of Psychological Specialties.
Alongside his primary endeavors, Dr. Van Doren has regularly contributed his expertise as a speaker in his field. Additionally, he co-authored "Career and Life Planning" in 1975 and authored the "Evaluation Interview Training Trainers Manual in 1987." Since 1995, he has remained involved with various career management forums. In order to remain aware of developments in his field, Dr. Van Doren has maintained affiliation with the American Psychological Association, Phi Delta Kappa, and Mensa International.
