With over 60 years of professional experience to his credit, Mr. Agapion has excelled as the owner of Arco Realty in Greensboro since establishing the real estate agency in 1952. Offering rentals of both apartments and houses, Arco Realty goes above and beyond to provide quality affordable real estate rentals for low income and immigrant families. Notably, Arco Realty was one of the first real estate companies in the Southeast United States to integrate their housing during the civil rights movement.
Working in private practice real estate law since 1952 as well, Mr. Agapion has been active in sole practice since 1970. Previously finding success as a partner with Agapion & Agapion in Greensboro from 1960 to 1970, he began his career in real estate law, operating out of a sole practice from 1952 to 1959. Prior to his career in real estate, Mr. Agapion served to the rank of a second lieutenant in the United States Army from 1944 to 1946.
Becoming involved in his profession due to his background as a child of immigrants, Mr. Agapion pursued an education at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in 1947 and a Bachelor of Laws in 1952. Following these accomplishments, he was licensed to practice law by the North Carolina State Bar and admitted to practice law by the United States District Court for the Middle District of North Carolina that same year. In order to remain aware of developments in his field, Mr. Agapion is affiliated with the Greensboro Bar Association. Mr. Agapion graduated from Greensboro Senior High School in June of 1943. In August of 1944 until April of 1946 his combat regiment served in Leyte and Cebu Islands in the Philippines. He spent also two years in combat, and still graduated from college on time in 1947 with his classmates by doubling his credits.
Decorated for his contributions during his time in the United States Army, Mr. Agapion has been presented with a Combat Infantryman Badge and three Purple Hearts. He is also particularly proud of successfully defending the landlord in the first major rent strike in the country. In light of all his accomplishments, Mr. Agapion has been selected for inclusion in multiple editions of Who's Who in American Law as well as in the 56th edition of Who's Who in America.
