POTOMAC, MD, May 17, 2019 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Anne L. Ayers has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process. Today, she is President of Appalachian Love Arts, which she established in 1981, and is an Estate Administrator in CA, WA, and just finished in MD. For many years, Ms. Ayers has excelled in various fields, including education, program management and estate administration. At the inception of her career, she worked as a replacement for the Dean of Women as Staff Consultant in Student Development for Central Washington University. Next, she served as Director of U. S. Air Force Aerospace Defense Command Residence Education Centers for Chapman University at six locations in N. D & M. T., establishing graduate and undergraduate programs, getting them accredited, and managing them over a 1,600-mile radius. In the evenings, she taught undergraduate and graduate psychology for Chapman University, and then for Hampton University for undergraduate nursing students. Next, she served as education specialist for the U. S. Army Training and Doctrine Command Counseling Center; the U. S. Army Transportation School in the Directorate of Evaluation; the National Mine Health and Safety Academy as a staff developer, evaluator, and coordinator of the production of criterion-referenced on-the-job training books. She then simultaneously managed: the NASA Teacher Resource Center Network in the U. S. and its territories; the Space Science Student Involvement Program; the High School Partership Program; and was a Contracting Officer's Technical Representative. Even after retirement, she kept working in all other aspects of education as a substitute counselor and teacher for the Berkeley County School District for grades k-12. She kept current in her disciplines through her various memberships in organizations. An expert in her field, Ms. Ayers holds a Bachelor of Arts in research psychology, speech pathology and audiology from The University of Kansas, and a Master of Education in counseling/guidance psychology and educational administration from Seattle Pacific University. Additionally, she pursued doctoral level coursework in counseling psychology through The College of William and Mary, and then in research and planning, educational administration, counseling psychology and policy studies through Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. To remain abreast of changes in the field, she has a lifetime membership in the National Association of Women Deans, Administrators and Counselors, which is now called the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators, and in the National Society of Inventors.
In her spare time, Ms. Ayers has given back to her community through her local church's youth group in the Seattle First United Methodist Church. With a plethora of knowledge at her disposal, she authored "Developing Criterion-Referenced Instruction Based on Valid Job Performance Analysis" for the II Internation Symposium in Mining, and "Educational Cost-Effectiveness of Two Criterion-Referenced Methods of U.S. Army Training," as well as 29 on-the-job mine health and safety books and one National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health Book.
In light of her outstanding work in the field, Ms. Ayers won the following awards: Alumnus of Growing Vision for the Century in Education from Seattle Pacific University; Excellent Oboe Solos in Washington State Contests; Werner Von Braun-Boeing Pure Science; Encyclopedia Britannica; First Place in the King County Science Fair; runner up in the WCIR radio theme song contest; and six International Library of Photography photos. Who's Who in Finance and Business, Who's Who in America, Who's Who in the World, Who's Who in American Education, Who's Who of American Women and Who's Who of Emerging Leaders in America have all featured her. In the coming years, Ms. Ayers intends to continue excelling in her executive role with Appalachian Love Arts.
