Diane Jarotski is most proud of being recognized by her students and colleagues with the Guidance Director of the Year Award.

After earning a Bachelor of Arts from Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey in 1977, Ms. Jarotski obtained a Master's from Montclair State University in 1985. She began her career as a private school preschool educator in Hasbrouck Heights, NJ, between 1977 and 1978, later accepting the post of a substitute teacher within the Bergen County School System in New Jersey from 1978 to 1979. Following these appointments, Ms. Jarotski found success with the Wallington Public School District in New Jersey, serving in the positions of a high school teacher, a high school supervisor, and the district guidance director from 1979 until her retirement in 2011.
A testament to her accomplishments in the field, she has been presented with the Guidance Director of the Year Award from Bergen County in 2000, as well as the Bergen County Humanitarian Award in 2008. Ms. Jarotski is also an active member of the Bergen County Educational Association, the Bergen County School Counselors Association, the New Jersey Education Association, and the local Zonta Club, for which she had served as the president for a number of years. Furthermore, Ms. Jarotski has volunteered with the fundraising arm of the Oakland Public Library since 2012, serving as president for several years.
Although her career has had many highlights, Ms. Jarotski is most proud of being recognized by her students and colleagues with the aforementioned Guidance Director of the Year Award. For her many achievements in the industry, she has been selected for inclusion in several editions of Who's Who in America, Who's Who in the World, and Who's Who of American Women. Outside of her primary responsibilities, Ms. Jarotski enjoys classical piano, art, ballroom dancing, and singing in her retirement, along with volunteering locally.
