The owner of the Millbrook Gallery in Picayune, MS, from 2001 to 2005, she previously worked as the owner of Doucet-Stanton Ltd., the Magnolia Plantation and Plantation Antiques in Slidell, LA. Beginning her career as a partner at Doucet's Jewelry in 1969, Ms. Stanton also found success as a real estate agent for Century 21 Real Estate LLC from 1982 to 1988.
A painter since the age of 12, Ms. Stanton's artwork has been featured in galleries across the country, including the Montserrat Gallery and the Agora Gallery in New York City and in the Stanton Gallery and Maggie May's in Bay Saint Louis, Mississippi. Furthermore, her work is included in permanent collections found in the city of New Orleans and the Foley Art Center in Alabama. An accomplished writer as well, Ms. Stanton authored the children's book "A Grandmother's Happy Tales," which was published in 2016.
Founding Le Cotillion in Slidell with Ruth Zatarain in 1975, Ms. Stanton also served as the founding chair of the president's council of Le Cotillion in 1987. In order to remain aware of developments in her field, she maintains her affiliation with the Allied Artists of America and the New Orleans Art Association. Additionally, Ms. Stanton is a member of the Inner Wheel Club, the Garden Club of Picayune and the Ozone Camellia Club.
For her excellence throughout her career, Ms. Stanton has been the recipient of a number of honors and accolades over the years. Notably, she was celebrated with the title of Countess de Miron Delbert by the country of Greece in 1988. In light of all her accomplishments, Ms. Stanton has previously been selected for inclusion in Who's Who in Finance and Industry, Who's Who in America, Who's Who in the South and Southwest, Who's Who in the World and Who's Who of American Women.
