He established the Alan I W Frank House Foundation in an effort to continue to preserve his historic family home. Designed by esteemed architects Walter Gropius and Marcel Breuer, the Frank House is a monument to modernist architecture. Dedicating decades to maintaining the home and its original furniture, Mr. Frank is currently working on the book "The Alan I W Frank House: A Modernist Masterwork by Walter Gropius and Marcel Breuer," which is slated for publication in October 2019.
Beginning his career as the president of the National Petroleum Corp. in 1954, Mr. Frank went on to cultivate his expertise through roles with Columbia University's $200 Million Campaign in the Pittsburgh area, the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Harvard College, and the Pittsburgh History and Landmarks Foundation. Early on in his career, he spent two years as a special agent with the United States Army Counter Intelligence Corps from 1955 to 1957.
Mr. Frank earned a Bachelor of Arts from Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts, in 1954 and a Bachelor of Laws at Columbia University in New York City in 1960. Following these accomplishments, he was licensed to practice law by the New York Bar and the Pennsylvania State Bar.
For excellence in his career, Mr. Frank has been the recipient of a number of honors and accolades over the years. Notably, he is a patentee in his field and was presented with a Medal of Honor from the city of Los Angeles. In light of all his many achievements, Mr. Frank has been selected for inclusion in Who's Who in Finance and Business, Who's Who in Finance and Industry, Who's Who in America, Who's Who in the East, and Who's Who in the World.
