Janson with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. An accomplished listee, Mr. Janson celebrates many years' experience in his professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes he has accrued in his field. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
After earning a Bachelor of Science in biology from Albright College in Reading, Pennsylvania, in 1973, Mr. Janson began his career as a sales engineer with the Hendrick Manufacturing in Carbondale from 1973 to 1974. Systems Division in Harleysville, Pennsylvania, holding the posts of a sales engineer, a sales manager, and the manager of sales and marketing from 1975 to 1984. Finding success as one of the owners of the Riordan Materials Corp. in Blue Bell, Mr. Janson first worked as a sale representative and then in 1986 as secretary-treasurer before becoming the president of the company in 1994.
Civically, Mr. Janson has served as a Sunday school teacher for the Christ Reformed Church at Indian Creek in Telford, Pennsylvania, from 1977 to 1993, as well as the chairman of the missions committee with the church from 1989 to 1993. Mr. Janson also served two three-year terms on the Albright College Alumni Board and one term on WEA's Board of Trustees. Although he has accomplished much throughout the years, Mr. Janson considers the highlight of his career to be leaving a company to become an entrepreneur and one of the owners of his own business.
