Likewise, he had found much success as the founding president of Grace Chapel Ministries from 1981 to 2014. In addition to his primary roles, he worked as the project coordinator at Oasis from 2004 to 2008, the president of the National Cable Training Center from 1980 to 1984, and the president of the Woodstock Industrial Products Group from 1974 to 1980. Earlier in his career, Mr. Brown served as the executive director of the Interracial Council for Business Opportunity from 1972 to 1974 and the Midwest regional director of labor affairs for the National Urban League from 1970 to 1972.
Mr. Brown initially pursued an education at Harris-Stowe State University, where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts in education in 1963. He continued his studies with coursework in education administration at the University of Nebraska Graduate School in 1968. Subsequently, he concluded his academic efforts at Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey, completing coursework in labor studies in 1972. Moreover, Mr. Brown has been ordained as a minister.
Throughout his career, Mr. Brown has been celebrated for his contributions to the field, including having received an honorary Doctor of Philosophy in humane letters from Tarkio College. He was instrumental in helping get the city of Saint Louis to recognize his organization and declaring the month of October for the employment awareness for people with disabilities.
