BROOKLINE, MA, June 14, 2019 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to present Peter Robin Kramer with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. An accomplished listee, Marquis Who's Who celebrates Mr. Kramer's many years' experience in his professional network, and has been noted for achievements, his leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes he has accrued in his fields of endeavor. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Mr. Kramer has an unusual blend of accomplishments as an artist and computer company founder and director. He co-founded Zoom Telephonics, Inc., a publicly traded company headquartered in Boston, with partners Frank Blasé Manning, Bruce Kramer, and T. Pat Manning in 1977, and lent his expertise as the executive V.P. and director for over 30 years. Engaging in the design, production, sale, and support of cable modems, cable gateways, and other communication products, Zoom Telephonics, Inc., offers its products under the Zoom and Motorola brands. Mr. Kramer was also a director and general partner of Doll & Richards Gallery in Boston between 1979 and 1981, a director of Intermute Inc., a computer software security company between 2000 and 2005, served as a member of the national advisory board for the College of Arts and Science at Stony Brook University for two years beginning in 1999, and was a board member for the Cambridge Art Association for five years between 1983 and 1988, including two years as its president.
In 1985 Mr. Kramer won the prestigious Henry Ward Ranger Prize from the National Academy of Design at the age of 25. Since then he has exhibited and won awards in numerous shows and exhibitions. He has been showcased in every edition of Who's Who in America since 1996, the 23rd edition of Who's Who in the East for 1991-1992 and every other edition since 2001. He was also been included in the fourth edition of Who's Who of Emerging Leaders in America for 1993-1994.
Born in New York City, Mr. Kramer attended Stony Brook University, where he began taking various undergraduate classes before discovering a passion for representational painting. Since the school did not offer the type of courses that taught or encouraged that particular style, Mr. Kramer began a program of independent study sponsored by Lawrence Alloway, a former director of the Guggenheim Museum. With Mr. Alloway's support Mr. Kramer was able to learn to paint on his own while finishing his undergradute requirements and receiving a Bachelor of Arts in fine arts from Stony Brook University in 1973. Upon graduation Mr. Kramer received a graduate teaching fellowship and completed a Master of Fine Arts at Long Island University in 1975.
Formerly married to the late Gerry Festo, who passed away in 2014, Mr. Kramer's free time is often spent actively involved in enjoying and collecting fine arts, antiques and Asian art. His collection of Japanese teapots, called tetsubin, was exhibited at the Morikami Museun in Delray Beach, Florida in 2009. When time allows he enjoys staying active by playing tennis and golf.
In recognition of outstanding contributions to his profession and the Marquis Who's Who community, Peter Robin Kramer has been featured on the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement website. Please visit www.ltachievers.com for more information about this honor.
