Prior to obtaining these roles, he worked as the president of Strategic Systems Sciences from 1980 to 1991, the manager of advanced concepts in the military space systems division at Science Applications, Inc. from 1979 to 1980, and a program manager with TRW, Inc., from 1977 to 1979. Earlier in his career, Mr. Keehn found success as a member of the technical staff at Hughes Aircraft from 1974 to 1977 and Technology Corporation from 1972 to 1974.
Mr. Keehn initially pursued an education at Arizona State University, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science in mathematics in 1970. He continued his studies with the aforementioned university, earning a Master of Science in electrical engineering. Completing postgraduate coursework at the California Institute of Technology in 1974, Mr. Keehn concluded his studies with coursework at the Rand Graduate Institute.
A respected voice in his areas of interest, Mr. Keehn has been an active leader in his community. The former chair and vice chair of the Aerospace Defense System panel at the IEEE, he has been a member of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics, the International Institute of Strategic Studies, and the United States Strategic Institute. He is a contributor to national security policies and guidance.
Throughout his career, Mr. Keehn has been recognized for his contributions, including having accepted 20 letters of commendation for his extraordinary contributions to the national security of the United States. Moreover, he is a patentee in digital signal processing. Likewise, Mr. Keehn has been featured in numerous publications, including multiple editions of Who's Who in Finance and Business, Who's Who in America, Who's Who in the West, Who's Who in the World, and Who's Who of Emerging Leaders in America.
