Joy Kroeger Beckner has been the recipient of the Silver Medal from the National Sculpture Society, the Ellin P. Speyer Prize from the National Academy of Design, among others.

Creatively inclined, Ms. Beckner has been in the art industry for more than 50 years. She began her career with Famous-Barr – a department store now owned by Macy's – in St. Louis, Missouri, during 1964. First working as a display stylist, she later progressed to a fashion show coordinator until 1969. She has since contributed as a runway and print model for the company. Additionally, Ms. Beckner is a sculptor and has served as a juror for the Art Show at the Dog Show in Wichita, Kansas, in 1998.
As an artist, Ms. Beckner's sculptures have been featured in several exhibitions at the St. Louis Artists' Guild, the Parkersburg Art Center in West Virginia, Pen & Brush Inc. in New York City and the San Bernardino County Museum in Redlands, California. Locations of her public works include: the American Kennel Club Museum of the Dog in New York City, Brookgreen Gardens in Murrels Inlet, SC, the Hollings Cancer Center - MUSC Medical University of South Carolina, Charleston, SC, the Fountain Hills Cultural & Civic Association in Arizona and The Library of Hattiesburg, Petal & Forrest County in Mississippi. For her accomplishments in the field, Ms. Beckner has been the recipient of the Silver Medal from the National Sculpture Society, the Ellin P. Speyer Prize from the National Academy of Design and the Leonard J. Meiselman Award from the Marilyn Newmark and Leonard J. Meiselman Charitable Foundation, among others.
Prior to embarking on her artistic journey, Ms. Beckner completed coursework at the Washington University School of Fine Art in St. Louis, MO, for two years. Her professional memberships include: Fellow of the National Sculpture Society, Fellow of The American Artists Professional League, Signature Member of the Society of Animal Artists, the American Medallic Sculpture Association, among many others.
