With more than 20 years of experience in speech-language pathology to her credit, Dr. Park has become an authority in her industry and currently serves as the head of the department of language pathology at Gachon University. Previously, she excelled as a speech-language pathologist at Ewha Womans University from 1995 to 2001, a part-time instructor and adjunct professor at Myung Ji University from 2001 to 2008 and a visiting scholar at George Mason University from 2009 to 2010. The highlight of her career was lecturing as a visiting professor at the Huế College of Medicine and Pharmacy in Vietnam from 2016 to 2017.
Prior to becoming an esteemed speech-language pathologist and educator, Dr. Park pursued higher education with a Bachelor of Arts in special education, a Master of Arts in special education and a Doctor of Philosophy in language pathology. She is a certified special educator and speech and language pathologist. In the future, Dr. Park plans to assist doctoral students as an academic advisor. Dr. Park translated "Evaluating Research in Communication Disorders, Seventh Edition" in 2018 and "Augmentative and Alternative Communication, Fourth Edition" in 2017. She also contributed to "Characteristics of the Iconic Gesture Comprehension and Production in 3-to 5-year-old Children with Typical Development" in 2018 and "The Effects of AAC Intervention with High Technology on the Communicative Competence of Children with Developmental Disabilities" in 2016.
Outside of her professional responsibilities, Dr. Park remains informed of the changes and advancements in her industry through relevant organizations. She is the executive director of the Korean Academy of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology and the Korean Society for Augmentative and Alternative Communication. Dr. Park is married to her husband In Seok Jeong and has two children, Sun Woo and Jin Woo. In her spare time, she enjoys gardening.
