Mr. Maguire excelled as the general manager of the Rutland Tribune & Shopper in 1973. He established the Maguire Newspaper Group and published a number of newspapers, including the Poultney News in Vermont and the Bisbee Observer in Arizona.
Before embarking upon his professional path, Mr. Maguire spent several years pursing higher education. He notably earned an Associate of Science from Champlain College in 1964 and a Bachelor of Science from Husson University in 1967. Mr. Maguire continued his studies working toward a Masters of Business Administration from Boston University.
Apart from his principal career, Mr. Maguire volunteers his time at a number or organizations. He was a director and vice president of a Safer Society of America, a director of Free Community Papers of New England, a founding director of the Epilepsy Foundation of Vermont, a director of the Vermont Cancer Society, former member of the Vermont Republican State Committee, and a member of the American Film Institute. Mr. Maguire remained informed of the advancements and changes in his industry through the organizations with which he has been affiliated including the Arizona Press Association, the Vermont Press Association and the New England Press Association.
Furthermore, Mr. Maguire has been honored with the Community Leaders of America
Award. In recognition of his many successes and achievements in his industry, he has been featured in several editions of Who's Who in Finance and Industry, Who's Who in America, Who's Who in Entertainment, Who's Who in the East, and Who's Who in the Media and Communication.
