Drawing upon 40 years of practiced experience in human resources and business, Mr. Campbell is a retired private business consultant. Working out of Tampa, Florida, for the majority of his career, he initially accepted a position with Dairypak, Inc., and then with the Sealtest Food Division of Kraft, Inc., before serving as an assistant to the divisional personnel director in Philadelphia for more than one year. Relocating to Washington, D.C., he found success as a district personnel manager from 1960 to 1963 before transferring to New York City, where he held the posts of a division personnel director, general manager of city plants and finally the corporate personnel director until January 1973.
In 1973, Mr. Campbell relocated to Tampa, where he served Tampa Electric Company as an employee relations director for three years. Subsequently, he remained active in the aforementioned company as the vice president of administration for four years and the senior vice president of administration for seven years. Beginning in 1982, he added collateral duties at TECO Energy, Inc., as a vice president, later becoming a senior vice president of staff services for two years before transitioning to a consultant role. During his tenure in human resources and business, Mr. Campbell acted as an adjunct instructor of management at the University of South Florida.
The recipient of a Bachelor of Arts with honors from Ashland University, Mr. Campbell completed a postgraduate program at the University of Michigan and is a certified senior professional in human resources. Over the years, he has contributed his expertise to articles in esteemed journals and a chapter in a book, having notably co-authored an article in the Harvard Business Review in 1985. Civically active as well, Mr. Campbell participated as the chair of the Superintendent's Committee for Educational Excellence in Tallahassee, Florida, in 1984, as well as the vice chair of the Florida Council of Educational Management from 1981 to 1984.
To remain aware of civic affairs, Mr. Campbell has maintained his affiliation with the John Hopkins Club of Baltimore, the Economic Club of Tampa and the St. Andrew's Society, where he was elected president from 1986 to 1987. In light of his exceptional undertakings, he has accrued the President's Award from the Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce in 1990, the Emblem Award from the Florida Association of School Administrators in 1984 and the Silver Knight of Management Award from the National Management Association in 1979. In December 1985, he was honored to be the Omar Bradley Lecturer at the Army Command and General Staff College at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas.
Accepting the Distinguished Achievement Award from Ashland University in 1967, Mr. Campbell was further highlighted in Who's Who in America and Who's Who in the South and Southwest.
