Currently serving as a part-time consultant since 1994, he previously contributed as the vice president of Packer Engineering in Troy, Michigan, between 1988 and 1994. Earlier in his career, he was hired by General Motors, where he worked as a noise and vibration engineer and a safety engineer at their proving grounds in Milford, Michigan, between 1955 and 1970. Furthermore, Mr. Wilson advanced to engineer-in-charge of the Safety Research and Development Laboratory with the aforementioned company, later becoming an executive engineer for the Auto Safety Engineer Department from 1970 to 1987.
Prior to embarking on his career, Mr. Wilson graduated from Bucknell University in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, with a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering in 1955. A recognized expert in his field, he has been awarded a patent for his accomplishments and is also a regular contributor of articles to professional journals. Additionally, he has maintained an active presence in his community. Mr. Wilson has volunteered his time as a member of the Huron Valley School Board in Milford in 1977 and as the co-founder of the Palmer Drug Abuse Program in Milford during 1983.
For his accomplishments in the field, Mr. Wilson has been the recipient of the Safety Award for Engineering Excellence from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration in 1980. Likewise, he has been selected for inclusion in the 24th Edition of Who's Who in the Midwest. During his active career, Mr. Wilson maintained his professional alignment with the Association for the Advancement of Automotive Medicine and the Society of Automotive Engineers International. Outside of work, he enjoys traveling and music in his spare time.
