Earlier in his career, he served as a second lieutenant in the United States Army, where he eventually rose to the rank of major. From there, Mr. Clark gained valuable expertise with various government entities, including the Massachusetts House of Representatives' Natural Resources and Agriculture Committee, the Banks and Banking Committee, and the Personnel and Administration Committee.
Over the years, Mr. Clark also worked in executive roles for the Clarke & White Automobiles Lincoln Mercury Co., H.C. Wainwright & Co., the North Shore Chamber of Commerce and Harvard University. Although his career has been filled with highlights, he is especially proud of receiving the Republican nomination for governor in 1966.
An expert in his field, Mr. Clark holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Professional Masters Degree from Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts. In order to keep abreast of changes in his field, he affiliated himself with the Essex County Agricultural Society, the 100 Club of Massachusetts and the American Legion. Due to his outstanding work in his community, he garnered the Positive Aging Role Model Award and the North Shore Senior Citizen Award. Looking toward the future, Mr. Clark intends to continue enjoying his retirement and giving back to his community.
